Lace on Lace

Catching up with the beauty of lace. For others it may seem as clothing like an old lady, but for us fashion lovers, it's a sight to behold and a very timeless design.
I didn't expect this ensemble would turn out to be such a beauty. What I love are the contrasting colors and the how the pattern connected each separate piece.
The Cutout design. Another hot item these days.
Then there's the peplum touch to it. This gives you a sexy waistline even if you have bulging tummies and fats.haha. The top is really a very good steal. All three trends in one!

Lace top: Faveshoppe by RMC | Lace shorts: Dash Dolls Cebu | Shoes: PeoplearePeople | Bag: Oleg Cassini

I'm so glad I'm finally able to put up a blog post after almost 2 months of dead zone! But not to put too much
happiness, I just borrowed my mom's laptop so I don't know when's the next post. Let me just consider this a post Halloween, post hibernation, pre-Thanksgiving or even a pre-Christmas post!haha.
Anyway, with the two months that I was away, some pretty major changes happened and a few big blessings came too. I am just so thankful that even with the big rocks thrown at me, I'm still able to stand with both feet on the ground. My partner in life, my daughter, family and friends never left my side. I keep on telling myself that if my prayers aren't really answered, maybe I'm destined to be something greater than I thought I could be. I've had a lot of "What Ifs" running through my mind sometimes but I always snap myself back to reality and say that I deserve whatever blessing God gave, has given, and will give me. :)

Quick Post!

I MISS BLOGGING!!!

Just to make things clear, I'm not yet "cyber dead" people! My laptop has given up on me a month ago due to my carelessness. I'm just taking this chance to have time off from the blogosphere and pick up where I left. I'll be back as soon as possible. For now, I leave you with  old posts and some life stories.

Words

If you've read my previous blog post about how excited I am for something and how I'm preparing myself for a challenge, then, that was a thing of the past. I got caught off guard with what I expected to happen. Unfortunately, that blessing wasn't given to me. I don't want to give further details about it, so let's just put it this way: Everything happens for a reason and no matter how much you give effort and passion to something you want, if it's not for you, then accept it.

I never really thought about it as something negative because I thought I was the kind of person who get what she wants. With my background as a student before, I got to be one of those lucky chosen ones. The one who belongs to a group of leaders that help others. I don't have Einstein's brain but I do have passion. I was waiting for that opportunity for almost a year now and then, it slipped away in just a snap of a finger. At first I had little regrets on one decision I made because I was so sure of myself. I didn't feel embarrassed though because people understood how I felt and we all know, that's life.

At some point, I kept on thinking...Maybe I wasn't meant to be a...Maybe I'm destined to be in another profession...Maybe God doesn't want me to go through any tough time because he's leading me straight to a very big opportunity, bigger than I imagined..or Maybe I'm no good. Maybe I'm just unlucky. Uggghhh. Self pity. One's battle with the ego.

POLITICS. In every establishment, there's always politics. Maybe 20% I'd have to blame this to Politics because it is just so unfair. You go through a series of interviews and tests, you do your best and then, people with connections get away with the position you've been wanting to have. (SHOUTING INSIDE).
The 80% I'd blame myself, because that was my fate.

So in the words of the wise, MOVE ON. Rejections and failures are part of life. You hate them, you want to strangle them, stab them. (If only Rejection and Failure are objects). But that's just part of the ride. I know it's so easy to say move on but it's harder to channel. I'll take this one baby step at a time.

P.S. Now I'm concentrating with my 18 month old toddler. This is the crucial part of child rearing because this is the time wherein their brain develops fast. Proper teaching and feeding is very much important. Who knows, I'm raising the future President of the Philippines. haha

A Mix of Trends

Neon Pink top: Forever21 | Bandeau: Penshoppe |  Floral shorts: Kishia Clauden | Bag: SM department store | Sandals: Solemate

I have been so ecstatic about being in Boracay for the first time so I decided to bring along light clothes that matched my mood! Boracay is the perfect place to flaunt and be yourself and nobody would care. You can walk around in a bikini, wear any beach outfit, be artistic with hennas and braids, anything you can imagine under the sun. What better way to be comfy and trendy than wear neon, aztec and floral in a whole outfit. haha. I wore this during the afternoon of the 13th wherein we walked around station 2, food trip at D*Mall and enjoyed the cool breeze near the shore.

Boracay 2012

Last September 12-14, 2012 we had a quick trip to the summer destination of the Philippines: BORACAY!
It's my first time to go to Bora, and what a way to welcome us. Heavy rain, winds and sandstorms!haha. I guess that's why airlines have Piso sale rates on the rainy season. LOL. Anyhoo, we still enjoyed our vacation. We only did a few things like Island hopping thru Crystal Cove, snorkelling at Buaya rock, walked around Station 2, D'mall, shoreline and of course, picture taking. Sharing to you some snapshots of our Bora  experience! Enjoy!:)

More of Boracay on my next posts!:)

Sweet Little Things

I finally got to taste what's everyone in Cebu is buzzing about. The people have spoken. Some of the best tasting cupcakes are from this little haven of sweets, and they were right!
This cupcake heaven has been around for quite some time now but I didn't get the chance to visit their flag store near Parklane Hotel Cebu. I only saw pictures of people eating their cupcakes that made me drool even more!haha. But now that they have their second branch at the Northwing of SM City Cebu, I'm gonna say it loud and proud: "CUUUUPPPPCAAAKKEEESSSSS!!!!":)

If you've read some previous posts, I said that I have a thing for red velvets. I made it a challenge to taste every Red velvet sold in different cupcake stores. As a recap, a tasted 5, and SLT would be the 6th. Then I ranked all of them according to satisfaction(haha!). Guess what spot SLT is in? :)
#1
We got to taste the Choco Mudpie, Triple Chocolate and the Red Velvet.
My daughter got some sugar high afterwards.haha!
Looking forward to taste all of their sweet delights. And by the way, everything is so affordable!:)
Photo grabbed from their Facebook page.

Visit their branches at:
Apitong St. Corner Escario Cebu City(beside Taiwan Shabu-Shabu)
2nd floor Northwing, SM City Cebu (beside Kasheica)

August Rush

This isn't a very fashion-related post. I just want to express how my heart's so giddy with excitement lately!
It's the middle of the year and it's the time again when I pause for a while and look back on how things had sailed since the start of the year. Everything didn't start the way I imagined it to be. I thought I was gonna...I hope I could have.... And that's it. Just incomplete sentences, because the answers I got weren't really the ones I expected but turned out to be how God planned it. I know He has been planning each of our lives and our actions are just tools to achieve them. How to win a lottery if we keep on praying but not buying tickets?haha! Get the point.
August air is very warm here in the Southside. But I'm not complaining because it's bringing more action too!
I posted in my facebook profile "CHALLENGE ACCEPTED". If you might be wondering what this is about, it's actually blessings from God in the most perfect time! I won't spill the beans just yet coz I don't what to jinx the luck or anything. I am just preparing myself for a very big change. I HOPE!
So yesterday, with my co-teachers, we went down to the beach and  enjoyed the long weekend! I got a breath of fresh air and the view of the beautiful horizon made my day. It's like looking ahead again for something better and brighter.

Fingers crossed!xx

Shades on

The details of my shoes matched perfectly with my top.
Muscle shirt: Primadonna | Lace shorts: DashDolls Cebu | Loafers: so! FAB

Wore this outfit over the weekend. My best friends and I planned to meet up after being so busy with our careers, so I opted to wear something comfy and sexy since I brought Sam along. (hot momma ang peg!haha). First up, when I saw this top over at Primadonna, my eyes went wide open! Loved the print on it plus its neon. It's supposed to be a muscle shirt wherein it's loose but I didn't try fitting it so it was a bit snug, hence the big arms!haha. I paired it with cream lace shorts because I wanted to go for a lady-rocker kind of vibe. (The shirt really got me!) What I love about the shorts is that you can dress it up or dress it down.
Then got my soFab loafers to complete the look. If you see the details on the shoes, it matches with the outfit pretty well.
