Sweet Little Things

I finally got to taste what's everyone in Cebu is buzzing about. The people have spoken. Some of the best tasting cupcakes are from this little haven of sweets, and they were right!

This cupcake heaven has been around for quite some time now but I didn't get the chance to visit their flag store near Parklane Hotel Cebu. I only saw pictures of people eating their cupcakes that made me drool even more!haha. But now that they have their second branch at the Northwing of SM City Cebu, I'm gonna say it loud and proud: "CUUUUPPPPCAAAKKEEESSSSS!!!!":)

 If you've read some previous posts, I said that I have a thing for red velvets. I made it a challenge to taste every Red velvet sold in different cupcake stores. As a recap, a tasted 5, and SLT would be the 6th. Then I ranked all of them according to satisfaction(haha!). Guess what spot SLT is in? :)

We got to taste the Choco Mudpie, Triple Chocolate and the Red Velvet.

My daughter got some sugar high afterwards.haha!

Looking forward to taste all of their sweet delights. And by the way, everything is so affordable!:)

A little cafe called Cafe Caw

I stumbled upon this food blog site by my college batchmate Phoebe (who also owns a cupcake business here in Cebu), and read her post about this new sweets and coffee shop called Cafe Caw which opened just last April 25,2012. I always have a thing for small, intimate food corners that are adorned by personalized stuff it makes you think you're in your own room. So I checked it out myself.

Sorry for the not so decent picture.haha. You may already guess the landmark? It's along Banilad road going to USC-TC, just across Bright Academy.

Food counter

This is what I'm after. CUPCAKES and SWEETS!!!:)

MENU ( They serve hot and cold drinks, cupcakes, cookies, light snacks, pasta meals.Just home style freshly baked desserts and comfort food! Budget would cost between 40-250 php.)

Their Red Velvet! Yummy and its served cold! I just want to share that every time I check out pastry or snack shops and they serve red velvet, it would always be the red velvet that I would order. Then I rank each red velvet I tasted!haha.. So far I've tasted 4 different versions and this would be the 5th. In ranking, I would probably put it in the 2nd spot!:)

A New District in Town: District 50

Here's where I celebrated a simple lunch out with hubby and Sam for my 24th birthday.

Love the vintage cafe ambience and food! It's like TGIF but a cheaper version when it comes to the prices.

Menu. Pricelist is okay. Haven't tried all their dishes yet but I won't complain with their price range. From 50php- 800php.

What I ordered: Cream dory in Pesto and green peas. I am always an addict to dory. Whether steamed, fillet, grilled, chips, etc!

Hubby's order: Barbeque ribs. Taste good too.

For dessert: Jen's smore and brownie

From 1-5, I can rate this place 4.
